Proverbs 3:6 proclaims, “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success,” and 2 Corinthians 5:21 adds, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

When we put God first, we live our lives with the purpose of pleasing God. Following His will, obeying His commands and the Holy Spirit's direction is how we put him first.

Start each day with prayer. Seeking Him daily.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33

Starting the day with Christ is the best way to put God first. Ask Him to be with you through out the day, so you can feel His presence is essential. Thank God for another day and asking for guidance with the decisions and choices  we’re going to make is a great way to glorify our savior.

Father God, let Your face shine on us today. When we leave the house go with us and bring us back safely. Thank You for everything You’ve done and do for us. All good things come from You. Cultivate a heart of gratitude in us and don’t let us forget all the reasons to be thankful to You today, tomorrow and every day after that. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
