Covix Day 3

Technically, her symptoms started on Monday with a sore throat that she thought was just allergies. Really today would be day 4 according to the Center for Disease Control regarding symptoms. For treatment and care, it's day three.

Mom woke up drenched in the middle of the night. She must've broken her fever, but since I didn't give her any meds since 10:30 p.m. last night, she was feeling pretty miserable this morning and not looking well at all. This morning was a bit scary. BUT Thank you, LORD for RNs like Christy, televisits, and phone calls with doctors, and FAMILY that rush to our aid with vitamins, meds, FOOD, etc. After medication, hot liquids, and a shower, she was able to get rid of some congestion that was causing pain and discomfort.

Mom hasn't had a fever all day. She is back to LOOKING and FEELING better and looking more like herself now. PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS, support, and encouragement. God-willing THIS is the road to recovery. She will see her doctor again tomorrow morning. We apologize for being unable to take everyone's calls or respond to all individual texts. 100 texts alone came in this morning from work, school, my siblings, her siblings, church families, etc., not to mention phone calls with w/doctors/nurses. Therefore, she gave me permission to create and update a blog to stay in communication with everyone and all the different groups.

As many of you know, Mom battles skin cancer more often than any of us want for her. We will use this site and blogs to send regular updates when she's down; as needed updates, and maybe some funny Carmenism stories. For now, I'll try to provide at least one or two updates a day.
