From 'Nexflex' to Next Steps: Carmen's Pre-Op Update

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, gather 'round for the first installment of "As the Hospital Turns," starring our very own wordsmith extraordinaire, Carmen!

Today's episode began with a pre-dawn adventure to the hospital. We arrived so early, we beat the doors! That's right, folks – we were ready to roll before the hospital even woke up. Talk about being fashionably early!

Once inside, Carmen was whisked away faster than you can say "Bakbak" (that's "Baclava" for the uninitiated). She was the first in line for the day's main event: The 3,000 Question Inquisition! Okay, maybe it wasn't quite 3,000 questions, but it sure felt like it. Our girl handled it like a champ, probably thinking, "Is this a medical exam or a game show?"

Next up was the fashion show portion of our morning. Carmen slipped into the latest in hospital couture – a stunning, backless number that's all the rage in medical circles. Move over, Paris Fashion Week!

Then came the parade of medical personnel, each eager to meet the star of the show. I swear, Carmen's room had more traffic than Grand Central Station at rush hour. Maybe they'd heard about her famous "Carmenisms" and wanted to catch one live!

Pastor Kenny made a special guest appearance, blessing and praying for mom and the medical team. We're pretty sure he threw in a prayer for the hospital gown to magically transform into something a bit more... covering.

The main event was scheduled for/started at 7:30 AM, with a runtime of 90-120 minutes. It's shorter than "Titanic" but probably with less Leonardo DiCaprio (we can't promise anything, though – you never know who might show up in an OR).

Now, here's where it gets all cloak-and-dagger: Post-surgery, I'll be playing the waiting game. No visitors, no updates – just me, my cell phone, and the suspense. It's like waiting for the next season of "Nexflex" to drop, but with higher stakes and less popcorn.
