"From Twister to Therapy Triumphs: Mom’s First Rehab Recap!

As the day winds down, we’re happy to report that despite the bumpy start, Mom is ending the day and week on a high note—with her *first shower* since surgery! 🚿💦 We added a touch of lavender chamomile stress relief lotion for spa vibes, some ointment for the right knee, and now she’s squeaky clean and *technically* ready for bed... but not before trying to catch the A&M football game! 🏈 She put up a good fight to stay awake but she's out like a light!

Before she fell asleep, I asked Mom what she wanted to say to her “fans” 😉 tonight, and her response was classic: she wants to thank the Lord for another day and thank YOU for all the prayers, love, and support. She’s hopeful to see everyone back in church and in Bible class *real soon*!

As for the food update—let’s just say the cafeteria here is worth a visit! Gracie and Hondo even rated the cheeseburgers as BETTER than Whataburger 🍔👏🏼. Mom was all smiles with her BBQ, and I can vouch for the BLT and fries! 🥪🍟 You can bet we’ll be back to try more!

While we do miss Maria, Dr. Z, Rosanna, Xander, and the whole Christus Spohn crew who kept us going at the Surgical hospital, the staff here are top-notch and working hard to keep that shoulder sling in place after last night’s and today's *Twister* rounds 🎲😂. Plus, Mom’s comfort is priority #1 as she continues on her road to recovery and independence! Huge HUGE shout out to cousin Sandra for all the help and encouragement!

Mom's all set to start physical and occupational therapy tomorrow, bright and early at 8 a.m.! Here’s to a great night's rest and a strong start on this next phase of her journey 💪🏼✨.
