Romans 8:1-2 states that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and that the "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" has set them free from the law of sin and death.

This verse is an encouraging way to start July as it emphasizes that believers in Christ have a new status before God. We’re no longer subject to condemnation because of sin. This highlights the freedom we have as believers in Christ.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death," explains the basis for the lack of condemnation. It's because the "law of the Spirit of life" in Christ has liberated believers from the "law of sin and death". This "law" refers to a principle or power that governs spiritual life, not the Mosaic law. It signifies that through Christ, believers have been set free from the binding power of sin and its consequence, death. 

Thank You Lord for the role the Holy Spirit plays in guiding believers and empowering us to live a life pleasing to God.
