Today is going to be a good day.

Peter 3:9 states, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."

This verse emphasizes God's patience and desire for all to repent rather than face destruction.

Not slow to fulfill his promises addresses our perception of time and clarifies that God's timing is not ours.

Patient toward you means God is patient and giving us time to turn to him. God's desire is for everyone to experience salvation.

Not wishing that any should perish means  God doesn't want anyone to be eternally separated from him.

That all should reach repentance emphasizes God's desire for everyone to turn to him. It requires a turning away from sin and towards a relationship with him.

Father God, we come before You today recognizing we need You. We’ve often turned away from the path You want for us and ask forgiveness. Today is the day we turn our heart back to You and surrender our will to Yours. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, give us strength, and wisdom to live a life that honors you. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
