Proverbs 20:3
It's a mark of good character to avert quarrels, but fools love to pick fights.
Not every argument is worth having, so a wise person should choose their battles carefully. As believers in Christ we should avoid petty squabbles. Not engaging in useless arguments is the mark of a wise person and it earns the respect of others who matter. In contrast, those who are hot-tempered, argumentative, or easily angered are clearly fools.
Father God, I know there are times for everything so today I pray for help to know how and when to avoid a fight and not get involved in foolish arguments while still standing strong for You, and Your goodness. In Jesus name I pray, Amen....
