1 Samuel 2:3

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

The God we serve is holy, sovereign and not only detest proud, arrogant talk but haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness and a person who stirs up conflict.

Our God is all knowing, sees everything and our actions will be weighed. Nothing escapes the Lord  who has the ability to reverse life’s situations, humble the rich and powerful and lift the hurting, poor, hungry, and barren. So never despair, our God controls life, death and guards those who are faithful to Him.

Father, keep us from prideful thoughts and careless actions, and cover us with Your armor so the words from our mouth and the merit of our heart will be acceptable in your sight, in Jesus name, we pray, AMEN.
