In Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

This verse calls for a change of mind and heart, a turning away from sin and towards God. It's a complete transformation from one's worldview.

Peter’s call for baptism is a public declaration of faith and a symbolic act of dying to the old life and rising to a new life in Christ. It's a significant step in one's relationship with God.

His instructions to repent and be baptized results with the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38 highlights the importance of obedience to God's commands as well as a role believers can play in their salvation.

Father God, may Your will be done in my life. Point me in the direction I should go and guide my steps. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
