⏰ Update-ish: Blame It on Daylight Savings (Or the Hospital Delirium)!

🚨 Good (Morning, afternoon, and/or evening) Update: VIP Care Continues! 🚨 Thanks to daylight savings, I’m either an hour early or an hour late...or just plain lost. At this point, I’ve seen so many hospital rooms, patients, and clocks that I’m not sure which is which anymore!

Greetings, all you faithful prayer warriors!

Gracie had a rough night—she’s battling a new challenge with some returned pain, and the doctors say she now has pancreatitis (so she's back to NPO, no food, no water, no NADA pinata). Plus, her lungs are acting up, so she’s got to start using the spirometer to keep them in shape and avoid pneumonia. She says using it really hurts to use that spirometer, though, so prayers for a little extra courage (and some deep breaths) would be appreciated.

Comfort Level: Recliner Approved! No sleep last night meant we had to get creative. I finally had the nurses swap out the “chair” in her room for a “recliner,” and between that and a little morphine, Gracie is finally catching some Zzzs now. All that to say, she’s definitely not getting released today. Let’s hold off on visits, as she really just needs to rest.

Mom’s Olympic-Worthy Worrying Meanwhile, Mom is being…well, Mom! Like the rest of us, she’s trying hard to hand over her worries to the Lord but can’t help herself from checking in on Gracie. (Lord, we believe; help our unbelief! Mark 9:24.) This morning, as I was finishing up a round of their laundry, Gracie texted me, "Go to Mom." And mom says, "No, go check on Gracie." At least they’re both feeling bossy enough to keep me running between them!

Thank you, as always, for standing with us in prayer. We’re leaning on Romans 8:28, trusting that God can work all things together for good. 🙏
